We offer Two different sedation options …
Our pediatric dental environment is created to feel welcoming and stress-free for kids of all ages. Whether a child is visiting for an exam, X-rays, a filling or another procedure, we work to provide a calm setting for both children and parents.

Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous oxide, commonly referred to as “laughing gas,” is one of the sedation options available in our office. Your child breathes the gas through a small mask that rests comfortably over the nose. Although some people believe nitrous oxide causes sleep, children remain awake, responsive and aware during treatment. Its purpose is to ease nervousness and help your child feel more at ease during a cleaning or dental procedure.

IV Sedation
IV Sedation is a safe and effective option for children who need extensive dental treatment, have significant dental anxiety, or may have difficulty cooperating during treatment. A board-certified anesthesiologist comes to our office and administers the sedation medication through a small IV placed in your child’s arm or hand. Throughout the entire procedure, the anesthesiologist’s sole responsibility is to continuously monitor your child and overall well-being while the dentist focuses on completing the dental treatment. Most children sleep comfortably through the procedure and often remember very little, if anything, about the appointment afterward. Before your appointment, we will provide detailed instructions and what to expect before, during, and after sedation to help ensure your child’s safety.

Sedation Care Designed for Children
Pediatric sedation is available in several forms, and the most appropriate approach will depend on your child’s individual needs and the dental care being completed. Our team’s priority is to help each child feel secure and supported throughout the appointment. By providing considerate pediatric care, we hope to encourage more comfortable and positive dental experiences.
